A new blog post is a rather rare site to so, yes, but I'm bored, and it was in the 90's meaning that with no AC in my apartment, I can't sleep. I begin this adventure on my deck with no lights and the flies and some Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.
First off, I've got 5 more business days left of my internship here at Boeing, and I'm very bitter about it. I don't want to go back to school, but it must be done. A week ago my manager extended me an offer for a full time position when I graduate. So, I accepted and now have to return to school without the fear or finding a job once graduated.
I'm gonna rock it in Springfield with my parents and make the awful commute everyday, which is about an hour. I broke down the math and I'll put around 12500 miles on my car which at 4 bucks a gallon will cost me 1700 in gas for the 6 months of school I have left. This cost is much better than living in Corvallis, where I will be spending, at minimum, 7000 room and board. So, hopefully my car survives! I have faith.
The plan from that is to graduate at the end of March and make my way back up to Auburn to return to Boeing as a full time engineer. There's a buddy of mine, also an intern, who is getting hired as well but is already graduated, so he'll lose the intern status in a week. He plans to purchase a home in the next few months once his lease is over at his apartment. When I graduate, I'm going to steal a room in his house while I begin my search for a house for myself.
Anyway, that's really what's in store for me for the next 6 or so months. Boring blog post, with no real cool stuff to mention besides this: I finally watched the new star trek. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Go watch it if you're behind on the times like me.
Later.
I'm Matt, and I'm an engineer. This blog serves to complain and rant at stuff for the most part, but sometimes to just freely write what I'm thinking at any given time. My writing is probably on par with a 3rd grader, as well as my grammer, spelling, and especially proofreading. You're reading this at your own risk. If you dare to continue, you will read stuff that won't make sense, that may offend, but may also humor you. Read with an open mind, and be wary of sarcasm.
Quick, non-post worthy comments.
-Notice that the lightning strikes right on 'Blog' in my title. I wish I could say I did this on purpose.
