So my new idea begins. I'm not sure where it will take me, but it's been fun so far and we'll see how long it lasts. Basically over the last week I've been able to read a bunch of stuff on Seattletimes.com which is hopefully self explanatory. I'm not quite sure if newspapers have a lack of stuff to write about, or if all newspapers do this, but I've found some horribly amazing articles that can't go unseen by anybody, even out of state. I don't know if I'll do this weekly of the best articles I find, or just as I find them, but the overall theme will be how I really need to get out of this state. Enjoy.
Article #1
http://seattletimes.com/html/localnews/2021075621_potshivelyxml.html
So, it's common knowledge for Washingtonians that pot is legal here to a certain degree (being an Oregonian, I'm not too familiar with the details), but I found this extra awesome. RETAIL MERIJUNANA. He goes on to say how much money it will bring him and that he's going to outsource the whole thing to Mexico and his final remarks are about how much he loves the plant. I must not be a good businessman because I don't see how this is going to make a ton of money, you know, with pot being illegal in the US and Mexico. I really need to get out of this state.
Article #2
http://blogs.seattletimes.com/today/2013/05/fast-food-workers-plan-strikes-around-seattle/
This is a seemingly harmless title, and I went into it not knowing what to expect. Turns out, the nice folks working at fast food restaurants are on strike, but it's an organized random strike inasmuch as what place has their employees strike. But why are they striking? They don't get paid enough. Not like minimum wages are already destroying small businesses, these guys aren't happy with their $9.19 an hour, they want at least $15 an hour. WHAT!?!?! Nobody drops out of middle-school and lands a job making $15 an hour. But these guys claim that they can't make a good living with their wages. Look at it this way, minimum wage jobs aren't careers, don't pretend they are. Get an education and make more money. These people are crazy.
Article #3
http://blogs.seattletimes.com/today/2013/05/bail-set-at-1m-for-man-accused-of-putting-crying-baby-in-freezer/
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. So, I'm sorry for laughing, but I'm laughing at this story, and not at the baby who could have died. Here's what they say happened. The man (not sure if father?) was tired and the 6 week old baby wouldn't stop crying so he decided to put the baby in the freezer to shut her up. Well, he ended up napping for an hour and when the baby's mother walked in the house, she caught him taking the baby out of the freezer. All this article said was that the baby was taken to a hospital and that her internal temperature was 84 degrees. I hope she lives, and that this man doesn't make bail. And to think, this guy probably just got home from striking about wanting more money for working at Taco Bell and was tired and upset. Yeah, I need to get out of this state.

I'm Matt, and I'm an engineer. This blog serves to complain and rant at stuff for the most part, but sometimes to just freely write what I'm thinking at any given time. My writing is probably on par with a 3rd grader, as well as my grammer, spelling, and especially proofreading. You're reading this at your own risk. If you dare to continue, you will read stuff that won't make sense, that may offend, but may also humor you. Read with an open mind, and be wary of sarcasm.
Quick, non-post worthy comments.
